The ARC Group performs research at the Colorado School of Mines in the areas of Antennas, RFID, and Computational Electromagnetics. An ever increasingly wireless society demands complex high frequency, wideband systems that must be first characterized through novel high fidelity simulations. Naive approaches require expensive and large computational resources. To ensure timely proliferation of next generation wireless systems, advanced techniques must be developed to allow for these novel simulation algorithms to run quickly on commercially available consumer hardware such as the General Purpose Graphics Processing Unit (GPGPU). The group also applies antenna design and RFID systems to develop practical solutions to issues such as localization.
